
BA ISAGO UNIVERSITY hosts its first-ever Branding and Marketing Day
It was such a cheerful mood on the 27th of May as the University held a Branding and Marketing day. The event that was held across all 3 campuses was themed ‘Marketing is Everything’. Speaking at the event Mrs. Gugulethu Ndebele who is the Director, Admissions Marketing & Communications beaming with excitement mentioned that the theme is derived from the fact Marketing is at the front and centre of all their operations, as Marketing gives the platform to reach out to internal and external customers as well as our stakeholders to showcase the market-driven programmes.’To celebrate the BA ISAGO brand, more so the evolution of our brand. As the University turns 20 in February 2022, this event is a precursor of many other events and activities that will be hosted to celebrate our brand. We are proud of our brand and very confident of the brand. We believe in our brand. It’s tried and tested, 20 years and still going strong in Academic offering, quality, integrity and all things knowledge based’, uttered the Director.

The Director also gave an overview of the newly branded marketing paraphernalia being launched as they were being showcased by models. The apparels (T-Shirts, bucket hats, car license disks, and website) were all also communicating the faculty logos for all the four University faculties being Commerce, Education, Law & Paralegal, and The Built Environment Arts & Science. Mrs. Ndebele also noted that with time the apparel will include the logo for faculty of post-graduate and research. The Director also mentioned that the event is about celebrating all facets relating to the University brand.
Speaking at the event Ms. Amagolo Gabasiane, Trainee Manager expressed her excitement and mentioned that this apparel will definitely put the University out there and also highlighted that the Marketing team is doing a great job with creative initiatives as there is also a video that will be up on digital platforms to give prospects a feel and a look into the university.

In his inspiring address, the Managing Director Mr. Odirile Gabasiane mentioned that he is happy that the BA ISAGO Community subscribes to such values as integrity, transparency, and teamwork. The Managing Director highlighted that it is because of teamwork that the University is hosting the Branding and Marketing day. The theme for the day is ‘Marketing is everything’ but let me add and say marketing is everybody and everything about us said the Managing Director. Mr. Gabasiane went on to acknowledge the University partners and stated that they have played an important role in the University offering some of the very special disciplines. ‘I am proud to announce that we have a number of emerging student clubs and societies which is a welcome development because as an institution without sound extra-curricula activities driven by the student community we will not be a complete institution’ the Managing Director mentioned.
Mr Lucky Molato Assistant Manager, Francistown Campus reporting live all the way from ‘toropo ya muka’. ‘We have painted the whole of Sam Nojuma Road with our corporate colors all the way from Francistown Toyota to the cul de sac near BDF. The whole street is on its toes’, says Mr.Molato.The exhilarated Molato continued to explain that this is exactly how they wanted the event to unfold so that it creates a long-lasting impression in the minds of the people of Francistown.
The elated mood was not only in Gaborone and Francistown Campuses. BA ISAGO Maun Campus was also in a celebratory mood. Mr.Ame Gabasiane who is the Acting Campus Manager mentioned that brand ambassadors and staff members have been deployed at all the busy intersections distributing marketing materials to the motorists and pedestrians along that road. ‘It is beautiful to see what is happening right now mo motjing, the road buzzing, people are wondering what could be happening’, Mr. A. Gabasiane states.
