Organizing Conferences and attending Conferences is one of the three fundamental pillars that constitute the operations of an academic environment such as a university. University means Universality, implying there are standard practices that cut across the running of any University. Through conferences, a university provides opportunities to reach out to the communities, harness information from the local and international participants to formulate policies and contribute to national development of a nation (What is a University?, 2023).
Inclusive education has gained global recognition as a cornerstone for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all as well as SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11(Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
This conference seeks to provide a platform to discuss strategies, policies, and best practices that promote inclusion in education systems to address the diverse needs of all learners, including those with disabilities, marginalized communities, and underprivileged groups. The sub-themes underpinning this conference cover the areas of Built Environment, Commerce, Education and, Law concepts.
The context of the conference is rooted in the growing acknowledgment that inclusive education is not only a fundamental human right but also a critical driver of social cohesion, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Despite global progress, significant challenges remain in realizing fully inclusive education systems, particularly in developing regions where systemic inequalities, resource constraints, and sociocultural barriers persist.
The conference aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice by gathering key stakeholders—educators, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders—to collaboratively design a roadmap that ensures no learner is left behind. By leveraging global experiences and tailoring solutions to local contexts, the roadmap will outline actionable steps for advancing inclusive education to support sustainable development.
