Christopher Tidimane, (PhD., M.Ed., B.Ed)

Dr. Chris Tidimane is a Career Development Specialist. He holds a PhD in Counsellor Education from Oakland University, in the USA, Master’s Degree in Counsellor Education from Clemson University in the USA, and Bachelor of Education from the University of Botswana. He has more than twenty-five years’ work experience gathered from different work places that include schools and tertiary institutions, in Botswana and the United States of America, dealing with matters of in-service training (guidance and counselling), retrenchment counselling, student counselling, career advising, Job placement, student placement, teaching, and advocacy.  He currently works at BA ISAGO University as Dean of Student Welfare & Support Services, responsible for students’ welfare issues.  He also worked in the Student Affairs Division of the University of Botswana for 14 years providing psychosocial counselling for students and staff. He has worked as a lecturer at the Lobatse College of Education, Senior Education Officer (Guidance) at Curriculum Development & Evaluation – Ministry of Education & Skills Development, and as counsellor (Oakland University & Oakland community college(USA); & UB) and served as Deputy Director- Job Placement Unit, University of Botswana.  He has also run consultancy work for Debswana – Jwaneng Mine, Civil Aviation Botswana, Metropolitan Botswana and Botswana Housing Corporation, relating to redundancy, redeployment, retrenchment and psychosocial counselling.
