Dr. Oscar Chiwira holds a PhD in Economics, MSc in Finance and Investment, MSc Economics and BSc (Hon) in Economics. He has more than 18 years of higher education experience with at least 14 years spent in leadership roles.
Currently he is employed as the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Commerce with BA ISAGO University. Dr Chiwira extensively understands the realities and dynamics of the Botswana socio-economic development which includes key national empowerment polices and national documents, knowledge he acquired through engagement in multiple national projects.

He currently sits in different Boards and high level Committees which include the Botswana Human Resource Development Council’s Tourism Sector Committee and the Research, Innovation, Science and Technology Sector Committee. To date, he has published more than 20 research articles in high impact referred journals.
His research areas are economic development, financial development and regional integration.
