This programme provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become competent
distinctive managers and specialists in the field of marketing. Students acquire the skills necessary to be
able to conduct marketing research and to analyze and interpret data to obtain insights that allows
them to identify and effectively satisfy consumer needs and demands for products/services. Students
are also equipped with the knowledge to develop marketing strategies that identify and guide the
optimal delivery of customer value and are taught to effectively use both traditional and modern
marketing communication platforms to effectively reach customers and convey their product/service’s
offerings value. The programme also introduces students to critical thinking skills by providing them with
practical marketing principles, examples and industrial attachments, all of which develop the student’s
cognitive abilities and enable them to develop sound marketing strategies and tactics for their

Entry Requirements 

Candidates must have obtained at least five (5) Credits at BGCSE (NCQF Level IV) (or equivalent)
including a pass in English language. Candidates who have a Credit in, Commerce, Business Studies will
have an advantage.



Candidates must have successfully completed a Diploma in Marketing/Business Management (NCQF
Level 6) in or its equivalent from a recognised institution.


Special Entry: Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a
minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered.

Programme Structure

The programme is divided into eight (8) semesters, which start in January and July each year.


Learners will be assessed on the basis of the following:

  • Coursework
  • Mid-term examinations
  • Workplace Attachment
  • Final examinations


Lectures are held as follows:

  • Part-time: 17.30-20.00 Monday to Friday
  • Full-time: 8.00- 17.00 Monday to Friday
