Objectives

This course gives a good grounding in the specialist area of Human Resources Management. Learners will be able to understand key activities that take place in a human resources organisation or department. By the end of the course, learners will have a good understanding of the way in which employees are hired, trained and developed throughout their time in an organisation as well as how to maintain good working relations with colleagues in a dynamic and changing workplace. Key skills of research and communication will also be developed. This course can be taken on full-time or part-time basis.

1. Applicants must have at least three passes at Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education (BGCSE) level, or its equivalent. OR
2. Special Entry: Candidates who do not have the minimum academic qualifications,as stated above, but have a minimum of two years uninterrupted experience in the real estate industry will be considered. In such cases candidates will undergo interviews for in-depth assessment, and meet the Academic Affairs Board requirements.

Programme Structure The programme is divided into two semesters, which start in January and July each year.  Assessment Learners will be assessed on the basis of the following:

• Coursework
• Mid-term examinations
• Workplace Attachment
• Final examinations

Lectures

Lectures are held as follows

• Part-time: 17.30-20.00 Monday to Friday
• Full-time: 8.00- 17.00 Monday to Friday
