Student Representative Council
The Student Representative Council (SRC) serves as the primary platform for students to raise concerns and engage with the University. Members are elected annually and the Council acts in an advisory capacity to both University Management and the Student body on matters relating to student wellbeing. The SRC is represented on key University structures, including Senate, the Academic Affairs Board (AAB) and Student Welfare Committees.
The Council addresses issues that may affect the learning environment by establishing sub-committees to manage matters such as conflict resolution, sanitation and Campus security. Through continuous engagement with University leadership, the SRC promotes positive staff-student relations based on mutual trust and respect. The SRC also collaborates with national and international student organisations and institutions to advance student interests and to foster beneficial partnerships within and beyond Botswana.
